The True
Meaning
Since the ancient times, people have called the Day of Atonement the day of covering up sins, Emume Nkpuchi Mmehie.
The truth is that God does not cover up sins, because cover up means that he sins are still there, and one day they have to be opened.
The Day of Atonement is the day the Blood of Jesus is used to cleanse the children of God and set them free from all guilt, bondage and captivity. It is a great of victory, because that is the every children of God defeats Satan and the kingdom of darkness, both in judgments and battles. It is a day of great celebration.
Noticeable
Differences
1. In some places, the congregation engage in humiliating themselves, by being in a mournful mood.
2. Many fast from the eve to the end of the day.
3. While some people wear white garments, others wear black garments or any other type of dresses.
4. They sing of the songs of forgiveness and mercy.
5. Various teachings and cocounseling are given on how to live righteous life, how to mend one’s way of life, and the consequences of sin.
6. Usually, the congregation use two rams. One as a scapegoat, and the other as an offering to God Almighty.
7. The scapegoat is made to bear all the sins of the congregation. People hold it on the head or horn, confess their sins and believe that the scapegoat is thenceforth guilty of the sins of the people. This is foolishness, for a man to commit sins and then turn round to accuse an innocent goat of all kinds of sins, evils and abominations.
8. In some places, people go to scapegoat and use their heads to knock on the head of the scapegoat. As a way of transferring their sins to the goat.
9. Generally, everybody sits on the ground, until the day is over.
10. On that day, no anointing, spiritual possessions or random motion is allowed, because everybody is expected to grieve for his sins.
The Right
Way
But in the DivineBase Ministry, the teachings and practices are quite different from what are obtainable in other places.
In the DivineBase Ministry, also called the DivineBase City, the Day of Atonement is:
1. A day of great deliverance and victory.
2. It is a day of great celebration.
3. A day of victory over sins, Satan and kingdom of darkness.
4. It is a day of thanksgiving, joy and rejoicing.
5. While all the other religions, churches, ministries and fellowships, sing the songs of forgiveness, in DivineBase Ministry the three types of sings and music, which the congregation sing or paly are the songs and music of Blood of Jesus,, victory and praises.
6. On that day and various Hosts of Angels and Saints of Heaven are called down to minister to God Almighty, by attending to the needs of the children of God.
7. The Hosts of Angels and Saints of Heaven share out various gifts and blessings to the children of God.
8. Both the Hosts of Angels and Saints of Heaven and the congregation sing, clap, dance and rejoice in the praise of God.
9. Even the Chief Justice of heaven and earth, Archangel Mikel, is usually present to set the children of God free from all kinds of guilt and condemnations.
10. Various families and individuals or groups present their gifts and offerings to God Almighty, Yahweh, the Lord of the Hosts.
11. The celebration is usually done on the behalf of the children of God, both the present and absent members of the DivineBase congregation.
12. The congregation are free to eat their evening, morning or afternoon food, during the break time.
13. Teachings are given on the importance of the Lord’s festivals.
14. Teachings are given to the congregation on how to settle various types of debts and credits.
15. The importance of restitution is emphasized, because every man supposed to restore what he had wrongfully taken from another person.
16. One of the major features of Day of Atonement, at DivineBase Ministry, is the arrival and presence of the chief justice of heaven and earth, Archangel Mikel. He sets the children of God free from heir sings, by the power of the Blood of Jesus.
17. Himself also dances and rejoices, evens so greatly, because God forgives sins and restores His people to normalcy, goodness, purity and holiness, as it was at the creation.
